try it out!
Apart from growing the brand, we had to make improvements to our own website as well! Gift Registry is a service not many are familiar with, but we want to get customers to use this service more! However, the FAQ page and signing in was not of good UX - our users could not understand the flow nor its concept!

We have a Gift Registry service, but the FAQ page was very text heavy and unattractive.
Through research and some UX design, the whole page was revamped into proper categories and bite-sized information.
Through this improvement, we hope for the public to start learning and using this service!

The issue with our Gift Registry not only lies in not being able to educate our users through the FAW Page, the whole process was not of good UX and many avoided it completely out of frustration. As such, we physically met up with some of our biggest customers to have a sit-down interview to hear their troubles regarding the user flow. And a new UI was introduced to the service based on their feedback.
The old registry on the left placed irrelevant information like "country" high on the visual hierachy ladder. To make sure shoppers always know what they are buying for, important information are highlighted at the top in an orderly manner, as shown on the right.

On the list, there are odd visuals like "1 0 1" on the old registry which hinders shopping descisions (as users feel they are spending more since there are digits on it). To make things clearer, + - and proper labels are introduced to avoid any confusion.
When a new registry was added, there were no indication of completion, which made users go create another one, like on the left. Just simply adding a green notification solves this, like on the right.

The old registry had too similar looking labels: "manage" and "edit" registry, which made users unsure of their next move. These call-to-action buttons were also placed above the registry's name which made people confused what the buttons were referring to. Buy simple renaming and rearranging labels, things become much easier to read and thus navigate around.
